Arrive 2 pm at Biarritz airport. After being collected by
Benn, in the Land Rover Defender with PS2/DVD, you will come to Houtsak Ina for afternoon tea and canapÈs.
You can spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool and then enjoy a
barbeque on the terrace.
Sunday
Relax by the pool then leave at 11am to go white-water rafting in the Pyrenees.
After enjoying a sumptuous picnic at a secret beach you will commence your 2-hour descent in either a raft or two-man canoes
over the rapids, enjoying beautiful scenery and spotting the mountain goats and birds of prey. Enjoy a four-course dinner with
wine at Houtsak Ina.
Monday
Go to Hossegor beach for the day, golden sands as far as the eye can see. After lunch maybe have
a surf lesson (surf lesson not included in stated price). Then back to Houtsak Ina for a barbeque on the terrace.
Tuesday
In the morning go to Bayonne, a stunning city on the river with lots of wonderful shops and restaurants.
After lunch head off to the ritzy resort of Biarritz where you can soak up the atmosphere and maybe do
a little shopping. Enjoy some cocktails and watch the sun set over the sea and then have dinner in one of the many fabulous
restaurants.
Wednesday
Relax by the pool in the morning and then head into Dax in the afternoon for a couple of hours at one
of the thermal spas. Cycle off to one of the local restaurants for dinner.
Thursday
Head off to Bordeaux to go wine tasting at two fine Chateaux and enjoy lunch in a very memorable
restaurant. Dinner at Houtsak Ina.
Friday
Go to St Jean de Luz for the day. This resort is very near Spain and has a very Spanish influence.
The beach is in a bay and the sea is very calm. There is a ferry, which takes you to Soccoa, where you can participate in almost
any water-sport imaginable (prices on request). There are also many shops, bars and restaurants in the town, which has a wonderful
atmosphere.
Saturday
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and last swim before heading home.
