Food and Drink
Amy's passion is cooking and with all the freshly grown produce (some of it from Benn's veg patch) she never gets bored. She is alsways happy to share her ideas and secrets and many people leave Houtsak Ina feeling that they've been on a cookery course and are excited about trying out their new holiday menus.
Again, as with the activities, what you eat and drink and where you have it is up to you. Breakfasts are provided every day at Houtsak Ina. Wake up to the smell of fine coffee and freshly baked muffins and step out onto the terrace to enjoy your breakfast in the morning sun.
Al-fresco lunches of local charcuterie and cheese, served with freshly prepared, crisp salads and crusty bread will be served with chilled sparkling wine. Alternatively, gourmet picnic hampers will be prepared for you to enjoy on your day out.
Afternoon tea with freshly baked cakes is available every day.
In the evenings after an aperitif by the pool, Amy will prepare a 3 course meal for you and your friends’ enjoyment, and anybody who has dined with us before knows that you will not be dissappointed. The food at Houtsak Ina is unpretentious, home-cooked fare. Alternatively, we will take you to a selection of local restaurants that we have tested and thoroughly recommend, and collect you at the end of your evening.
During your stay we will always provide a generous amount of complimentary local beer and wine with your meals. However, should you prefer, we have an extensive wine list at excellent prices and a fully stocked pool-side bar for your continued enjoyment.
