Summer Family Activity Holiday 7 Nights
Saturday: Arrive at the airport of your choice and be transfered by us straight to Houtsak Ina for your Champagne and canape reception by the pool. Relax and settle in before a 3 course dinner served on the terrace.
Sunday: Spend the morning relaxing at Houtsak Ina and making use of all the facilities. After lunch go for a local mountain bike ride (or not). In the evening go to a local family restaurant, Lac du Luc – set by a beautiful lake with fishing and crazy golf!
Monday: After breakfast head off to a fabulous coastal resort to enjoy a freshly caught seafood lunch. Then it’s off for some waterskiing/sailing/ Hawaiian canoeing , wander around the boutique shops or sunbathe on the glorious sandy beaches. Back at Houtsak Ina indulge in a sumptuous BBQ on the terrace and enjoy some local wines.
Tuesday: After breakfast head off into the Chalosse countryside to try your hand at horse riding/pony trekking. After lunch on the terrace spend the rest of the day relaxing at Houtsak Ina by the pool. In the evening head off to a local auberge for a family meal out.
Wednesday: Head off at 9am after breakfast to a medieval town for your rendez-vous with the rafting instructors. You will be taken from here by minibus to the start of the river for your day of rafting and negotiating the rapids of the mountain river. Halfway through the day you will stop for a riverside BBQ on a beach – enjoy cooked meats, risottos, wine and soft drinks. The scenery really is stunning and there is lots of wildlife to spot, from vultures to mountain goats to birds of prey. At the end of the day Benn will collect you and return you to Houtsak Ina for a four course dinner.
Thursday: You will head off to the Pyrenees where you will ascend the first 1000m peak of the chain in a vernicular train. Enjoy the views from the top before walking down and stopping for a leisurely picnic. You can either walk down (about 2 hours) or we can return to the summit and come down by the train. Once back in Pouillon the adults can go out for a gastronomic meal at our local Michelin Rosiette rated Auberge Restaurant, Le Pas du Vent, whilst Benn and Amy look after your children with pizza and a movie!
Friday: Either spend the day by the pool or head off to another glorious sandy beach in the Landes for some bodyboarding or beach games. Enjoy a your final dinner at Houtsak Ina. Benn is a keen amateur photographer and will endeavour to capture your bravest and funniest shots and prepare a slide show tonight and a disc for you to take away with you.
Saturday: After brunch enjoy a morning relaxing by the pool before heading off to the airport to catch your flight home.
The price for the above itinerary is €699 per person and €499 for children under 14 and €299 for the under 6’s. Free for children under 3 (subject to total group numbers).
This includes all transport and organisation whilst in France, all meals taken at Houtsak Ina, all picnic lunches and the above-mentioned activities (except Horse Riding – pay at the stables, €20 for 1.5 hours).
